Life is Pretty. Odd.
Hello people and a big welcome to [info]alex_kingston , [info]ticcyyy , [info]missbuterfly , [info]another_myself and [info]ww_sb_xf !! 

Well, lately I've been thinking what to do with my journal. I've always kept it as my graphic/fandom place, but I feel I need a place to ramble a bit about anything and everything ;) That said, I will do it here and those entries will mostly be f-locked. Now, making this journal more personal, I'd love to get to know you crazy people better! ;) So feel free to fill out, let the fun begin! ♥

i remember the oddest things, all related to tv and movies oh yeah, I can relate to that. I cannot remember the important things in life though lol

so about George/Izzie :D I always thought they were best friends, and when 'it' happened I was quite surprised, and felt a bit weird. But I love stpry tehy made out of that.

yes! My brother made a fire to eliminate a bunch of papers we throwed, it was night and i approached with all my notebokes (i took some pages i considered important) and told him to put them in the fire.

This might be a stupid question but what is scrapbooking? I've seen it somewhere but never checked it out ...

And nope! No reason to explain the MW phenomena :D I hope there will be more Tiva action in the upcoming season.

Scrapbooking is where you decorate photo albums with patterned paper and ribbion and anything else you can think of. It can lots of fun. There has also been a recent trend towards digital scrapbooking where you use a photo editing program and digital versions of traditional supplies to get a similar look to the old fashioned way.

Oh yeah, hoping for lots of Tiva action :D

Anything that is Tony-centric. SWAK is my all time fave, then Frame Up and Missing and Chained and Bait and...;)

CSI: Miami/Adam Rodriguez, Jon Togo/Emily Proctor, Khandi Alexander, Eva LaRue. Just love the show. It's just a great mix of Miami bounce and good science/crime plots.
CSI/William Peterson, Gary Dourdan, Eric Szmanda/Jorja Fox - Great characters, and good acting.
Flashpoint/David Paetkau, Hugh Dillon, Michael Cram, Enrico Colantoni/Amy Jo Johnson - My new favorite. Just an awesome show. Well written, good acting, just very fascinating.
Law & Order: CI/Vincent D'Onofrio, Chris Noth/Kathryn Erbe - Just more good crime drama...
Law & Order: SVU/Ice-T, Christopher Meloni/Mariska Hargitay _ ^

Yes, it's quite pleasant. Not the picture perfect life that it's often painted as, but it's quite lovely.

No, nothing serious. We each had a junctional nevus removed, which is like a freckle on the eye. If left alone it could be cancerous, or could move to blind me, but the surgery was simple enough. Just cut the it off while I was out.

First off, I really love your icons and for that reason I added you! I thought the right thing to do was to pop in, say 'Hello' and introduce myself! I know you had this addressed to your other friends but I went ahead and filled this hoping you wouldn't mind! I'm kinda new to LJ but kinda not! (if that makes sense at all...) But I figured I need to try and make some new friends and you seem like a really nice person! So anyhoo, after sounding probably really creepy...

Name/Location: My name is Alicia and I live in Michigan.


Hobbies: Hobbies include listening to music, watching TV and movies, reading, hanging with friends and family and I just recently thought about getting into trying to write a book or something like that.

1. Hugh Laurie/House MD - I love the man and I love the show! Hugh is an AMAZING actor and the show helped me to realize I want to work in the medical field. Plus I love the drama, humor, and snarkiness of the show.
2. David Tennant/Doctor Who - I saw the show advertise on the sci-fi channel and thought the show looked pretty good. Watched an episode and fell in love with the show, 'The Doctor' and Mr. Tennant. I like the science fiction, plus the kinda warped history lessons as well.
Those are my two "big" fandoms, but I love plenty other TV shows, movies, etc.

Something nobody knows about you, yet: I had a huge crush on my 10th grade math teacher. I still do actually. We became really good friends, nothing pervy or anything strange like that cuz I'm not like that. He's youngin' in the teacher world or at least at my old high school he is. His wife is a sweet person and they just started a family of their own: they have a little boy and girl. I don't know, one part of me says that it's wrong and I shouldn't have any feelings like that toward him and the other part just reminds me of how cute, funny, and kind he is. I dunno, he's my guilty pleasure in a way. : )

It's always nice to get to know new people, and although I had posted this meme before it's always open for 'new' people ;)

Funny you mentioned Starbucks. In my hometown there are a lot of shops and I have to admit that I rarely go, but whenenver I am in another town I look for Starbucks coffee ... so no, you're not weird ;)

I tend to do that too. If I'm on vacation or something, I spend time looking for a Starbucks to get a fix. It really helps that there is one on almost every corner...:)

Oh yes!!! :D I have to get some now ...
After I mentioned the chocolate in the post, it sounded so good I had to stop and wander to the kitchen to see if I could find some!

Let's see....hmmm...favorite Doctor Who...I would have to recommend the episode called Journey's End, which is the last episode of Season 4. The episode brings The Doctor's oldest enemies and his friends face to face to fight for and defend the Earth. It's a great episode! The great thing about this show is that they give little hints about the season finales throughout the whole season. If you do decide to check it out, it may be a tad confusing because they do refer to stuff that happened in earlier episodes of the season but that shouldn't be a big deal. I came into the fandom not having one clue about 'The Doctor' or the show but it's easy to understand and figure out! I do hope you check it out and like it! It's not everyones cup of tea but it's a fun show! :) And you're right, Hugh=Love! ;)

Are you working as a doctor as well?
I am not working as a doctor, although there was one point in my life when I was trying figure out what I wanted to do, (I've changed my mind so many times) that I actually thought about becoming a psychiatrist. But I realized I wasn't that interested in that paticular field. Right now I'm just taking prerequisites in order to start the Nursing program.

I totally know what you mean you're new/old to LJ ... I'm suppose I am as well. I joined a long time ago (that's what I think) but I'm still not very good with it hehe ... we'll get there!
It's good to know I'm not the only one out there! I'm still trying to get a handle on how everthing works. I hope we get the hang of it sooner or later! :)

*waves* Hey! I'm doing pretty good! I've definately needed some coffee these last couple of days...to drink and splash in my face! lol
I had the plan to start posting in my LJ and getting back on the scene, but I just got another dog...and Wooo, he is tiring me out! He's 3 yrs old and he has a lot of energy!

I hope you do check it out! It was hard to pick just one, there are so many that are really great. And then there's some that leave you thinking 'WTF?'. But I guess it's the same with any TV show these days...lol :)

I'm doing well and yourself? Yep, this is dog number two. He's a beagle and I named him Chester. He's a real sweetheart. It's also really great because he gets along with Eddie, my other dog.

I would suggest getting a dog someday. It's true they can be time consuming but not always. Mine are fine to stay alone for more than a couple of hours without having any accidents. Plus, we have a fenced backyard which allows them to run wild while still being in view.

I've enjoyed 'House' so far. It's been a little different for me this season because I can't watch it on Tuesday because of my psych class. I have to record it and watch it Wednesday, which I'm still trying to adapt to. : ) I'm looking forward to seeing how things will play out. I have to say upon watching the first ep. of this season, I felt a little depressed after seeing how things played out between House and Wilson even though I already knew what was going to happen! ; )

Beagle puppies are very cute! Chester is a beagle and Eddie is a Jack Russell Terrier.

Yes, I have seen 'Joy'. I also felt very sorry for Cuddy. I can't imagine having to go through that. Hopefully things will work out for her and she won't give up on her quest to adopt. Yes, I'm very curious to see what happens between those two! : ;)
